BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9 

There are changes (of course) to food safety culture, food defence, outsourced processing, equipment installation (lots) aind a new section on animal processing. And as expected a mandatory unannounced audit every 3 years.

It is a requirement that all sites undergoing a BRCGS audit to Issue 9 have access to an official copy of this Standard.

Issue 9 will be published in August 2022. Certification against Issue 9 will commence in audits from 1 February 2023.

Training Available

ICS will be delivering virtual and face to face training in multiple sites starting on 12 October 2022.

BRCGS: Food Safety Issue 8 to 9 Conversion for Sites 

This course will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the revisions of the Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 9, as well as a review of audit protocol. It is designed to equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to successfully implement the changes to the Standard on site.

BRCGS: Food Safety Issue 9 Site Training (2-days)

This course enables delegates to gain a full understanding of the general principles of the Standard, and how to comply with the requirements. Delegates will also gain an understanding of what to expect during the process of certification, and actions needed prior to, during and after the audit.

BRCGS: Food Safety Issue 8 to 9 Conversion for Auditors

This 2-day course enables you to gain a full understanding of the general principles of the requirements of the Standard and changes from Issue 8, including fundamental clauses and statements of intent, and how to undertake a Global Standards audit, including planning and reporting of the audit.
