ICS are at the forefront of industry trends and projects have included  developing a Food Safety Program specific to the Australian seaweed processing industry for the human consumption of processed seaweed.

Our tasks have involved undertaking  literature reviews and  reviews of current regulation to identify potential food safety hazards, field assessments of current  transport, delivery and processing processes and development of additional documentation (procedures and forms

Emerging Industries
ICS have been engaged by major food retailers to improve supply chain performance.

Our deliverables have included developing  auditable 3 Pl standards to be used by service providers, reviews of food safety plans and procedures, technical support to identify gaps in processes and product controls and the development of food safety supervisor’s courses for logistics and warehousing.

ICS has consulted to major Australian food industry groups to develop and implement auditable standards to meet food safety and animal welfare concerns.

Our key roles have included development of standards, interpretations documents, industry facilitation workshops, development of auditor training program and calibration workshops, ongoing technical review and auditor reviews.

Scheme Managers and Industry Groups
ICS has been engaged by a number of manufacturers, distributors and retailers for factory and building plan reviews against regulatory and certification requirements.

This has included reviews against BRCGS, Costco, Walmart responsible sourcing requirements and general compliance against the applicable food safety requirements & potential food safety hazards (allergens & microbiological specifically), State of NSW & Australian federal and export regulations.

Factory and Building Reviews
ICS was engaged by an Australian major ingredient processor to undertake raw material assessments of suppliers.

We undertook over 1000 products reviews to meet retailer standards and GFSI requirements . This included reviewing existing assessments and databases, current PIFs, using external databases, approved supplier information, documenting methods and developing new approval processes and trigger points for review.
Food Fraud
ICS has worked on major industry projects and has been engaged by other consultants for our technical expertise for input into projects such as educational programs and industry reviews.

Our expertise was used to provide specific seafood technical sector experience to development of PowerPoints, scripts, Pdf’s and checklists. We have also provided gap audit of island seafood processing plants against DAFF Export Requirements and BRCGS Global Standards
